I would like to use a Sun Audio SV-300BE tube amplifier w/ my Audeze LCD-X Headphones.
The output transformers on the amp have both 8-ohm and 16-ohm output taps.
My question is: Can I use the 16-ohm transformer tap directly into a
20-ohm LCD-X headphone load?
Can the output transformers on the sun amp be damaged by this?
I know I can use a 80-ohm power resistor in parallel on each channel to bring down the total resistance to 16-ohms.
any suggestions for either approach would be greatly appreciated.
