I have the gen 1. Its a solid bluetooth experience. Because it uses mmcx connectors you can swap out any comparable earbuds including from other brands. Most bluetooth earbuds will end up in the landfill but because you can connect and reconnect different earbuds something will last a long time. Shure is well built and will support you.
The play app should apply eq for each of Shures earbuds. I have used it with the 215 and SE846. I really like the format and not needing a wire. The chicks voice is super hot when she says "Pairing" or "Connected". If that helps :) The connection and pairing just works with no drama. Battery life is solid.
Only downside IMHO is the mic. It only uses one of the 2 mics at a time and poor mic performance is ironic for Shure. THough the current GEN 2 version fixed that I think.
If you are OK with a wire/ necklace bluetooth, the AKGN5005 is on blow out from Harman at $159. You get $999 earbuds and a bluetooth adaptor for less than the Aonic. Better deal even though the Shure bluetooth is better because no wires (assuming the mic issue is fixed)
