I bought a pair of these a couple of months ago and they're not bad at all. They didn't sound that good at first, but after playing them for a while, they started sounding very good. They cost only $300, but they now sound like $600 to me. I also own a pair of STAX that cost $5,050 as a bundle consisting of the SR-007mk2 headphones with the SRM-700T driver unit, but I still enjoy listening to my FiiO FT3 headphones. The STAX sound absolutely awesome, but the FiiO FT3's still sound quite enjoyable with excellent bass for an open back headphone. For the price, you can't beat the FiiO FT3's.
They come with an excellent leather case and two pairs of leather ear-pads. I bought a special silver plated headphone cable with a 4.4-mm balanced plug, but the FT3's come with a pretty nice cable, too.
Happy listening!
