Panasonic DVD-S77 transport not fully engaging?

Hello,

My Panasonic DVD-S77 quit playing disc, first problem since I purchased it two years ago.

I took off the lid, and see that the disc is not being clamped tightly against upper free floating centering device by the drive spindle.

Is there some simple repair to rectify this problem? I am hoping that there is an adjustable tension device somewhere, possibly a spring?

Has anyone had a similar problem with this, or other transports that can help me?

I like the sound and picture quality from this DVD player, even if it is becoming outdated.
