RE: DVD is confusing - a few questions

Have NIN DOWNWARD SPIRAL as SACD (its Mch & stereo). Recently saw it as DVD-?. Wonder how they managed to get both formats? Thats out of the ordinary to say the least. NIN is a little harder rock than I normally listen to. It won't be some thing i play every week. Just picked up AC/DC BACK IN BLACK DualDisc. Well recorded rock album.
