Home DVD-Audiobahn

New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Thanks, Joe

I understand:

16 bits times 48,000 samples per second times 6 channels gives 4,608,000.
24 bits times 48,000 samples per second times 6 channels gives 6,912,000.

However, the display on my bottom-of-the-line Sony unit only shows 48Mbps, which I assume is the total data transfer rate, so, I guess (as you say) I need to get access to a machine that shows the audio bit rate. I was hoping someone would have one of these machines and would be able to post this info, thereby saving me the trouble. :-)
