Those titles don't sound unusual for the volume labels on regular movie DVDs. For example, "Times Square" has the volume label TIMES_SQUARE. It's probably a limitation of the file system used on DVDs.I'd first blame the radio for not subbing spaces for underscores, and for not using some better source for disc title information.

This white paper says that including text is not mandatory, so it could be that the volume label is the only info that a player can definitely count on being there. Or maybe your discs didn't implement any additional text. You should get your hands on more discs, and a home DVD-Audio compatible deck for comparison purposes, if you can't use your computer to evaluate what's on the discs.
