AIX Records is still actively recording and releasing DVD-Audio titles...about 10 last year and headed for another 10-15 this year. The latest is Hanna-McEuen, a country duo, and the recent Ernest Ranglin. Both are currently available at the web site.We also recorded Wallace Roney, John Gorka, Albert Lee and Raul Pineda in December...an intense but great couple of days of sessions. Yesterday, I got the opportunity to play the 5.1 96/24 mix for Raul and he flipped out. After having just completed a CD of much of the same material he was astounded at how much better the 5.1 DVD-Audio sounded.
Sorry I haven't been around too much lately...nice to know the arguments continue. As far as the debate on DualDiscs...anyone that wants to have a plain DVD-Audio in addition to the DualDiscs that we release...I'll make you a custom one off. Although, I've never had any reports of problems with them.
