I'm not familiar with your Denon receiver/preamp but this is generic advise anyway.Usually ONLY the DVD-Audio player can decode the DVD-A signals, not most receivers/preamps. So the output on the player will be analog and will appear on 6 jacks (5.1). So you will need 6 high quality cables to deliver these signals to your receiver. From there just follow the manual to understand the settings. There may be some bass management issues to consider and also most receivers do not have the ability to delay the 5 signals to compensate for speaker placement.
