Actually, "great for bean-counters" is more like it.Anyway, congrats on your DualDiscs. I have a few DualDiscs myself - but the only player which can play DVD-A that I have is the very computer that I'm posting from.
And yes, I enjoyed your posting and your listening impressions of those specific DualDiscs which have actual Hi-Res tracks (and not those which offer only Low-Res audio) - even if you shake your own pom-poms a bit too aggressively at times.
Oh, by the way, DVD-A does not guarantee superior sound quality. The mastering makes all the difference, whether it's on DualDisc with DVD-A, standalone DVD-A or SACD. In fact, you can have a DVD-A or an SACD which sounds no better than a regular CD (and sometimes worse).
