Well, I got it. :) DVD-A disks sound terrific, very impressed. Compared to the Philips SACD player the audio is more "analouge", very smooth. Not quite the bass response and not quite the texture on vocals, but the Philips really seems to shine on vocals even on redbook. The DVD-V play is fantastic, both video and audio. Dialogue is better articulated, and oddly the bass really shines here. The remote and DVD functions are 10x better than the Philips (which really isn't much of a DVD player all told) and 100x better than the crappy interface my older Mitusbish had. Overall very pleased, for $60, very, very pleased. Definately will be buying more DVD-A titles.
