i was thinking along similar lines, which is why i would be very interested in teresa's comparisons (if she ever do them).my assumption would be that the 192/24 transfer is a new transfer from the same master tapes, and the 96/24 on the new disc will be a downsample from the new transfer.
would be interesting to find out if there is a material difference between the new and old discs.
