Re: Classic Records Claims to NOT MLP on the 192kHz 24 Bit

"Classic Records Claims to NOT MLP on the 192kHz 24 Bit..."

is this a documented claim? i could find no online reference to this claim.

you are correct in that based on the length of the audio program as well as an absence of a bounty of bonus material, compression/MLP might not be necessary.

that however is not the case with the only HDAD title I have: "The Alan Parsons Project - I Robot". the disc contains approximately 41 minutes of musical content and very little else on each side. it would appear that MLP would not be necessary. however, my dvd player clearly indicates MLP encoding on the DVD-A side of the disc and Liner PCM on the DVD-V side of the disc. further inspection of the disc file directory structure supports the above observations for both sides of the disc.

if you have an HDAD title, I would encourage a closer inspection.
