My Denon 2900 has always been a little more unreliable when it comes to DVD Audio as opposed to SACD, especially after my mod. I did add the firmware update and it seemed to fix the skipping that I was having with The Band's Last Waltz. Depending on the manufacturing date of your machine, you may wish to try it.
