I've just recently tried to learn a bit about the Dual-disk format. What I've read is that the CD side does not conform to Red Book standards and so will not play on all machines. For some time AIX has been producing dual-sided disks with DVD-Audio on one side and DVD-Video on the other. I've never had any problems playing either side of any of their disks.
Is there any relationship between these two dual-sided media? Just wondering why AIX can do it and others can't?
