The Benchmark DAC 1 is a fabulous converter. Use the digital outs of your transport directly into the DAC and then to your preamp. Of course, this will only provide stereo output and some digital outputs will not pass at full high-resolution. AIX Records products, because the are not encrypted or protected, will pass true 96 kHz/24-bits.
