New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Is it worth the trouble?

68.43.62.64

The more I learn about DualDisc, the less I like it.

1) Compatibility problems
2) Compromised CD side (max 60 minutes)
3) Compromised DVD side (DVD-5 instead of DVD-9)
4) DVD content compromise: tries to appeal to mass market (video) and audiophiles (HiRez audio) simultaneously

Considering the costs of (1), I wonder whether the record companies are really saving anything, from a purely bean-counter perspective, versus simply putting two seperate discs in the package.
