For exactly the application you described, I bought a 7 inch TFT display through eBay. Should be available for around $170. Don't expect wonders, but the picture quality is absolutely adequate for displaying menus. As most of these units are designed for in-car use, you will also need a 12 V DC power supply.Mathias
