I did read your equipment list and my guess is that my Esoteric DV-50 has much more bass from 20 to 40 Hz than the Pioneer. I hope you enjoy the Kaplan, and I really appreciated your mention of the Mehta which I think is unjustly overlooked. If you appreciate classical DVD-As so much, how about a review of the Abbado Beethoven cycle?
