Sir, I don't know you but I can sympathize with your pain management, or better, non management issues.
My wife has suffered from severe progressive rheumatoid arthritis for ~35 years. Tried all the biologics to no avail. Her last rheumatologist retired 10 years ago. He was VERY liberal (probably too liberal, he even prescribed Fentanyl patches) with prescribing her pain meds and they kept her functional.
More or less concurrent with his retirement the opioid crisis became big news and her new rheumy guy would prescribe her nothing. He told her she needed to find a pain management Dr. and that took months. She was going out of her mind from withdrawal and pain. She finally found one and he turned out to be an a-hole who treated her like she was a criminal. She finally found a Dr. who was totally understanding and has given her the minimal amount to keep her functional and, for the most part, out of pain. The Texas pain management rules prevent her from taking cbd as she will get kicked out of the program, with no meds, if even a trace of thc is found in her routing blood tests. So it's narco and Hysingla for the rest of her life.
I wish you the very best of luck with your travails and hopefully you can find a Dr. who is sympathetic to your pain issues.
Edit - one note, she had a neural stimulator surgically implanted in her thoracic spine. That was a Godsend (of course along with her meds)
