or rather least worst review pre-amble goes to Rogier Van Bakel in the latest Stereophile. I don't know why reviewers think we need rambling, tenuous introductions but if you're going to it then make it one short paragraph (this one using the analogy of a car full of clowns to getting a lot of entertainment from a small container). Or, be like Kal and dive straight into the product description.
Don't, as Ken Micallef did in one of his early reviews, start by referencing issues of more importance than hi-fi. He'd been to see a movie about the plight of the environment and used that as his way into a review. Good that it moved him enough to want to share but after being told that Rome was burning I didn't want to read about fiddles.
