I know Clement Perry well. He is very nice and warm-hearted guy, honest, responsive and considerate. I know he gets excited over new products easily, but that sometimes might be a good thing. In any case we all want to see variety and different angles when it comes to a product review so I think Clement is doing a great job.Have you ever seen negative comments for certain product on Stereotimes? I have not! Clement is, just like most reviewers, trying to be "politically correct" and not write about products he does not like. This brings another question; Since YG speakers were shown so many times at CES and other audio shows, how come we have not seen anything about "The World's most accurate speaker" in the Stereotimes show reports? Clement is very excited about new and impressive sounding gear just like a little boy is being impressed by a new toy.
Did Clement contact you, or you contacted him? Have you seen how many very respectable big companies are advertising with Clement? Do you truly believe Clement is dying to have your advertising money? Not that I think so!
One of Clement’s reviewers wrote review for my modded Philips SACD1000 digital player in 2004. Then Clement invited me to the 2004 Stereotimes award ceremony in NJ where I received award for most wanted digital player. I’ve never advertised with Clement nor was I ever asked to do so.
The way I see it, you're just trying to defend your self here in case of negative comments being made by Stereotimes in the upcoming show coverage. And this is by revealing personal and confidential information?
If your speakers are indeed that great, Clement will NEVER say the opposite. If they are not that great, Clement will NEVER give you a bad publicity. Problem is, at this point, Clement will be honest in both cases, and if he does not like your speakers he will report it. So let’s hope this is not the case.
One comment: the use of the Vifa dual-concentric tweeter instead of the Scan-Speak dual-concentric Revelator tweeter was a step in the right direction, IMO, so I am sure your speakers sound better than before.
Regards,
Alex
