I'm sure they will work in other preamps if tried but maybe reliability will come into play? If I had a different preamp that used 6SN7 I would give it a try and have some sort answer to that question. Maybe when I have some extra time I will build a very simple circuit using a single 6SN7 and see what happens just to get some sort of answer to that question. I will takes some VDC measurements on the Plate Pins 2 & 5 to see what Schiit's Plate VDC is for their tubes. The 6SN7 max Plate Vdc is 300Vdc, so that is a starting point.
