at this level, I doubt that there is any difference in sound. I bought a cheap Marantz once and it sounded nothing like Marantz. Most of these big names just introduce low end products to capture the market. They don't care about their sonic performance at all. It's like that BMW 1something... a good brand on a sh*t car...
