I recently rebuilt my driver stage changing from 6n6p to 6e5p triode connected. The increase in drive, clarity and gain were all good. I'm staying with the 6e6p's. They are apparently very similar to the 6e6p tubes. They are driving LL1660S/AM interstage transformers and it's working great.
