I remember being a 23 year old kid who didn't know sh*t and smoking reefer out in back of the club with the original piano player from SG, another fellow, and Elvin Jones. I just listened in awe.

playing bass back then when you heard them? Great bass player that somewhere during the mid or late 80's he go a gig with the Dave Letterman or one of those late night shows playing in that band.

  I don't remember the band members. It was probably late 76 or 77. I do remember Jones's drums thundering in that small downstairs club with low ceilings. I never saw them, but Cher and Gregg Allman came in the club when Allman was doing a drug rehab stint in Buffalo around that time. Wish I was 23 again...
