no doubt connections matter. when switched to eichmann rca silver, wow. so now time to do the speaker posts. anyone compared these?

Yup. The Eichmann Cable Pods are quieter and more detailed by a long shot. If looks matter, then use the WBTs with Herbies Tube Dampers for a similar effect, although the Cable Pods are still a tad more detailed, probably due to the reduction of eddy current.
I haven't, but a while back i took my speakers in to get the Cablepods. The custom speaker builder who did the work had been using $160 per set WBT posts for years on his highest end & was unfamiliar with Eichamnn.He A-B tested the 2 & called me...the next day he became an Eichmann dealer.

Regarding my experiences, these are the best performing speaker posts made. Just be careful with the plastic screwdown spade collars, they aren't big chunks of brass or copper.
long, long ago when I was comparing the sonics of RCA's, of both genders, I found that the outrageously expensive WBT's (probably the Ktauts getting even with us for WW II) came in dead last. I'd say the best use for WBT's is on a chain around your neck
