Tubes for CJ PV10al

Hi there.

I am about to get my hands on a PV10al.

Any recommendations on particular 12au7 or equivalents which will work troublefree?

I am looking for tubes with a great rhythmic sonic signature more than making the PV10 slow.

If I'm not mistaken, the 12AU7 is used as a cathode follower in the output stage, and has very little effect on the sound.

The input stages affect the sound much more extensively.

  Yes, you are mistaken.
  I have a CJ PV10al myself and I recommend Telefunken ECC82/12AU7.
