So just the veneer and stain to do,
Saying that, never used veneer before,
and the rounded over corners make it that little
bit more interesting!
Follow Ups:
I would like to second the notion of black paint, especially high gloss black spray paint.
The cheap Home Depot variety they sell for 99c a can actually will make a nice glossy black piano/instrument style finish.
The other painful possibility is to cut the corner out altogether ( on your carefully adjusted tablesaw: I have done this, low blade, cut & turn, cut & turn), then glue in square molding of another color or other beautiful woodstock which you have precisely cut to match your corner cuts.
leave the chunks of molding extending out from the face of the boxes, the thickness of the veneer.
Then veneer have fun: Black Glossy is way easier: for an example look at the surprisingly good sounding Eventide Monitors on the web.
Peace,

Yes i would agree if the corners of the speakers are radiused more than 1/2" then technically you can work the thinnest cherry verneer onto the turn.
However this will crack or pull off (looking like wear) after two years or so.
I would rather avoid the work if I can not be sure it will last. If needed it could be done and then sealed with epoxy.
Anyway Fun Yes,

Just because something is possible doesn't mean it doesn't have constraints.
Eso are you big enough man to read this post and then have enough openness to allow it in. As Eso, I read your post and decided, you know Eso might be right ; it might not be easy, but he is right in theory:
i should at least have my communication include the possibility.
So tell me ESo : are you a big man, or are you a small man. Or were you able to understand my post or not???
Which is it ???
Sincerely, attached to nothing here in these posts having fun...

I disagree. I successfully veneered a turntable plinth with rounded corners. It depends on the tightness of the curve radius. The secret is to select the proper veneer. Some veneer grains do not lend themselves to curving while others do. I used cherry and applied with glue and a household iron.

Joe is very helpful and will discuss your needs with you.

These Radial horns are MDF with veneer. Notice they are compound curves.
With the speakers in question, the corners would be very tricky but are do-able if one knows what they are doing.
Just because something is beyond your own capabilities does not mean it is not possible.

Nice work and you will need some luck to veneer those rounded off corners maybe a bit of solid mahagony corner round should of been used;) then veneer up to rounded corners.Your veneers going to lift. Now I would say paint them.
