i guess it will take some time, until i can tell you. i am searching still some parts to make the filter, and start to tweak around. but when i can tell something, i certainly will post here. good is that i can compare then with the orpheans.

Well, keep us updated. you said you can compare them to the Orpheans? do you have the Orpheans yourself?
BTW what are you to use for the bass section? I presume you are making a 2-way?
hi
yes, i have the orpheans . i will use a beyma 15", lx60, active, up the 300hz/24db, and above the horn.
In my opinion, the BMS4592 needs a biger horn, to work optimal until 300hz, like the Jabo72. In the 56cm diameter horn, it would work better until 500hz, no more. The Radian is the same. Using a horn up to 80cm diameter, like Vincent Brient, it can go as low as 200hz.
I will post abought my results here.

Interesting, a similar set-up as I would like to use. Only I will use a 15inch Ciare driver. I was also thinking of using the Radians. You said you are going active, 24dB at 300Hz for both the woofer and horn I presume. Are you going to use a DSP?
Jacob
hello Jacob
i visit recently Ciare factory. You see the pictures at my fotoblog.
their pro subwoofers are weatherprotected for outdoor use. It would be interesting if they would make a woofer only with papercone, without impregnating, and use a stronger motor. They will make a prototype for me.
In the first pair of Sonatas,I go active with the bass, and the orpheans from BD-design witch i use come with built in crossover, crossed at 300hz, too.
The Radians, crossed at 300hz, will need a bigger horn than i am using in this system. What horn do you pretend to use ?
Probably still this week i will have pictures, with this system finished.

Hi,
I'm planning to cross at 500Hz using a JABO KH50B horn. I'm planning to go either 12dB/oct passive or go active using DSP, did not decide yet.
Jacob
hello Jacobthe resonance frequence of the radian 950pb is 550hz. So the best crossover frequency is 1000hz. I will use it first in a 4way speaker, crossed at this frequency. This does not meen with 500hz it will not work well and sound nice. if you did not buy it yet, and need a cheap source, you can send me a email.
