hey Tommy - I'm flounderin' with fullrange (foolrange?) - how do BLH Fostex really do on dynamics? - xmax can be hit at 0.5-2watts - I'm used to Karlson which can cream reflex and I'll throw 200+ watts at em on drums - Freddy

Frddy--IMO some Fostex sound good and some sound terrible, in any event the best Fostexes I heard were Kurt's FX-200s in OBs with subs. Subs are needed for sure. Dynamics were OK, what you'd expect from a good 8" direct radiator.

The worst Fostexes I've heard were in BLHs. Once I heard these gizmos that used Fostexes in big curved WEish back horns, the things would give you a crew-cut.

Note that a few weeks ago I heard Magnetar's big JBLish scoops each with a 15" Beyma coax and a Guass 15. Nothing chinless about them, no siree Bob. Big dynamics, big bass, big tone.
