got K15 and K12 with wounds from old age and battles with FedEx/UPS - what might one use to fill in missing areas & paint/pencil in "grain" and have a usable repair?
Follow Ups:
I put up a storefront display in Chicago years back and repaired the dings in the woodgrain formica with bondo and a knife blade to shape as it was setting up. Then I used a small paint brush and lacquer touch up paint. Noone could find the defects afterwards. The key is you have to know how to mix the appropriate colors and then brush to match the various shades. It's not a job for a hack or someone with an unsteady hand. High traffic areas of course are problematic, but generally this is a very quick and effective solution in the right hands.

Don
If a mirror reverses left and right, why doesn't it reverse up and down?
hey Don - - few years back bought something that looked like that and greatly resembled a child's dime store tempera set - is that one good????
Best,
Freddy
Never tried it,just did a quick google search on formica repair...
If damage is extensive, might be better to just recover them with new formica.
Hi DonI don't have the skills to recover and not sure if wood grain laminates of today would look like "Karlsonite" 1952-57-?
