Les, out of all of those Ks, which one is your favorite and why?
The K15 is the master, all others are a compromise for size. I'm still working on a Modified K15 as a sub.
how about some Karlson headphones (headKans?) -- Karlson in the first installment of "Acoustic Transducers" patents envisioned slotted microphones and violins. I have a k-slot fretless bass guitar.
the open end waveguide antenna mades a very good tweeter from ~1K8 up - make a quick one in half-ellipse from 1"ID pvc and put it on top of some of your 'Kamily" for a run
K's add reverb and this can enhance realism - I'm not sure if a tube does if its entry diameter matches the compression driver's exit diameter. Karlson's x15 tube made have added reverb to itself before its sidewall compoenentes fired into the upper half of the coupler - there was a lot of energy fired up towards the ceiling!
Walter Alan Zintz's Transylvania "The Tube" from a long time ago
