seems there was interest, then no words at all.
Is it the 1 3/8" x 18tpi that is the issue?
I've heard a large pair of yamaha's speakers with round horns but it seemed the woofer was crossed way too high to the round horn.

what ya think?
That's what I use. They're several times more expensive than the Dayton waveguides, though.
I see that the DDS website is back up, but I don't think they're shipping product yet. It will probably take a while before back-orders are filled and new orders start to be processed.

Hi Normy - I only mucked with one for about 5 minutes - good for original price - nice threaded brass insert - didn't get on-off axis plots - k-plug of the day = w. higher xovers a k-tube is a lot of fun vs DDS
806a - no baffle - violet trace = no bypass contour

I bought a pair of the 12" ones and was disappointed to see that they aren't constant-directivity devices. That doesn't mean they can't sound good, only that they don't do what I was hoping.
Selenium makes an adaptor in case people want to use 'em with a 3-bolt compression driver.

I wouldn't imagine they were 40 by 90 or such, more dispersion limited (and no freq boosting) by the driver.............
so, the highs wern't dispersing?
please explain
Norm
Once I saw the curved walls of the "waveguide" I knew it didn't have the directional characteristics I was looking for, so didn't take the time to optimize a crossover for something I wasn't going to use anyway.
I have no reason to think they wouldn't sound fine with the right crossover. I'd be inclined to damp 'em with dynamat or somesuch, but that doesn't add significantly to their cost.

from 1.5k to 6k or so.................
hmmmmmm
