Has anyone compared these 2?I am running a 3 way setup with k402 (MEH) horns, and f20 horn subs for 60hz down.
I have been mixing my wires to get the tonality, clarity, and soundstage that I am looking for, and I am down to finishing off the compression drivers (mids and bass are finalized)
I am currently running the Cardas clear for the XLRs on the Celestion Axi2050 compression drivers (500hz-20khz), with the Valhalla speaker cables. I am trying to see how it might change the sound to move to the Cardas or maybe even the Xansane 6008ag (the xangsane have to have a custom female spade made for the axi2050 compression drivere...so it is not just a swap to see which is better).
I switched from the Odin 2 gold xlr/Valhalla speaker cables to the Xangsane sp6008 XLRs, and speaker cable and I like the increased clarity and spl increase in the lower mids (from 60hz-500hz dual Celestion 15" woofers).
From 20hz-60hz with a Delta Audio 15max dual coil woofer, I am running 12tc speaker cables with Cardas clear XLRs, and soon cardas clear power cables.
Power cables all go to Xangsane power strips with the Furutech flux 50 (clone)
Front endis... Denafrips Athena, Pontus 2, Lumin U1 mini, and Jays cd2 mk3.

not pure silver. For vast majority of compression drivers (all?), I personally try to avoid silver-plated copper cables since CD's tend to have the highest output bump in that critical 1-4 kHz range, which would be exacerbated by most silver-plated copper wiring.
I would try Xangsane's pure-silver cables in the SP9001, SP09003 range instead.. They are very smooth in that 1-4kHz range and tend to sound to have more apparent high treble "air."
Thank you.
There is a big difference in sound between the Valhalla 1 and Valhalla 2 speaker cables.
The "1" is more polite through the upper octaves, possibly even laid back.
The "2" is more forward and more lively.
I use both for different applications. Both are great soundstagers. It would depend more on the tweeter used:Ribbons are more controlled with the "1".Sonus Fabers having a slightly warmer balance lean in favor of the Valhalla 2,along with the Linear series tweeters.
I have the Valhalla 2 speaker cables currently.
