Question for those of you who order from overseas vendors

Do you have a dedicated credit card with a low maximum limit that you use for purchases that may take a couple of weeks to arrive? I am intrigued by all of the positive comments pertaining to cables available on Aliexpress, but I am reluctant to use our primary CC which has a $20K limit.

Or, is there another avenue in which to transfer funds? TIA...

...that unless you feel comfortable with violating common sense cybersecurity guidelines, then shy away from using credit cards with that marketplace. Currently in order to validate a card with them, you have to provide over the top documentation (photo ID, card images, paper bill images, ad nauseum). My advice is keep your private info private!

You may lose reward points by using PP and a checking account funding source, but that's a far better and safer transactional choice in my view.

  I have always been wary of online personal information sharing.
  
  All of our online purchases are for products available here in the U.S. We put everything on one CC account for the travel miles, so PayPal is only used on occasion. And even then, the PayPal account is tied to the one CC account.
  
  Several years ago I purchased something online from Home Depot. When I needed to return it (cannot remember the reason why), they could not figure out how to reimburse my PP account. That is why PP is only used on occasion.
  
  But here we are several years later. I'm sure those bugs have been worked out. And now I get to try some new cables at a very reasonable price.

Geez, that never crossed my mind. I use PayPal on occasion when ordering maintenance items for the house or cars, but never thought about it being an option for an international order.

I have never ordered anything from overseas, and if I see a 2-week arrival date on Amazon I continue looking, assuming that it is coming from overseas (happened to my wife a couple of years ago, unbeknownst to her).

I'm curious to try some different cables (speaker as well as IC) on the family room system. Casual listening, but it is on the warm side and I'd like to liven it up a little. Tone controls available, but I think cables could have a more positive impact. Thanks!

I use PayPal for all of my AliExpress purchases and have never had a problem.
