Hey tubes! Ebony will be a future experiment, no doubt. The air-dried walnut one that Jim has was one of about a half dozen that I initially made and tried. Jim's walnut one was one of two "keepers" with the Jelco arm that I had before.I've got one last piece of the old air-dried mahogany that I used in the plinth (and as platforms for components in the rack), that I'll probably try, but it may be a while because I can't stop listening to the table! For the current armboard I took a cue from Mosin and laminated cherry, birch ply, and acrylic, about 5/8" thick in total. Like with Jim's all that shows on the surface is about 1/8" of wood. I like it a lot with the current AT arm, but I may take you up on your offer!
Jim
