I still remember the first time I heard Rumble on the radio. I'd never heard anything like that before. I saw him several times in the late 60's in a roadhouse near the chicken shack. That was a good time around DC. Several people were eay to find like Link Wray, Roy Buchanan, John Fahey, Tim Buckley, Emmylou Harris. At the local piano bar your could listen all night to Roberta Flack and anybody who came by to play with her for the cost of a beer or two. Headliners would come after their shows to hear and jam with Roy Buchanan.
