I have this otherwise perfect thrift LP find: just a one or two millimiter lengthwise scratch causes this skip.Yesterday I was tracking at 2.0 with the M97xE Shure cart brush down, and it skipped there.
This morning, back to my regular 1.5 VTF/brush up tracking, and "on cold" it went through great (with two or three pops, of course, but I don't mind much for this LP). A couple of hours later, it skipped again at 1.5.
Is this a lost cause? How would you try to go about this?
