Just applied a Grado Sonata to my turntable. Cutious, are the Grado Reference Sonata Cartridges known to pick up a lot of surface noise? Also, are they known to be so sensitive that just touching the pick-up or tonearm itself would induce sound? The phono stage is a AR SP16P - I have never had this problem with other cartridges. I realize the output is rather high(4.5)on this cartridge but I have had cartridges with about the same output without this problem. Any insight is appreciated.
