AL?....DL103R-SS SME Question

Al, your input would be appreciated. I have a SS retip DL103R. I set it up on a table I just purchased...VPI Aries 2 with SME IV. When I received the Denon back I noticed it road a little lower than before. No biggy. On my new setup, with the arm level the rear of the arm is very low...on a non-flat LP it will rub the lead-in when the stylus nears the end of the record. My question is did you have similar results? You say you use slight tail down & If I did that the table would not be playable. I do have a cartridge spacer I can add I just wonder why my setup would differ so much. Thanks for any input.
