I really really wanted to like vinyl again after 20 years away

20 years ago I ditched my TT and 200 LPs (why? why?) in favor of the spinning perfect shiny discs. 20 years later last year, curious to prove to myself that vinyl still sucks, I bought a Dual TT with a NAD phono stage. Boy did it still suck. Boring dull sound forever. Fast forward to about 6 months ago. I picked up a Planar 2 with a Linn cartridge on it and the well hyped Bellari phono stage to give vinyl one last shot before I went back to my Rega Apollo forever. Yaaaawn. Sold the Bellari and put the TT in the closet. About a month ago I bought a Hagerman Cornet2 for a good price and dragged the TT out of the closet and slapped a Grado Red on it, put some NOS tubes in the Cornet2 and fired everything up. One more try. Very nice. Very very nice and I thought that I was starting to get it. Two weeks ago found a MMF-5 on Agone with an Ortofon OM 30 on it and bought it. Set everything up and the rest is history. I get it now. Am just stunned how good LPs sound. Now I spend my time looking for LPs, ignoring the cdp and my 600+ cds and sitting in front of my speakers again listening to music. You guys were right...
