You'd think maybe they'd have played... Nefertiti, or some other classic Shorter tune from the Quintet era. Then again, that's something for the students to aspire to...Baby steps in N.O., but steps slowly leading forward. Music has always been one of the greatest strengths of New Orleans, and it is wonderful how the musical community has
risen above the the bureaucracy to bring some semblance of order and harmony to the chaos. The Monk Institute seems a progressive one, and I'm sure it will prove to be a benefit to the New Orleans community.Good news, thanks for the post!
