want to use a Technics DD as the basis for a Solid Plinth Project. I will fit a different tonearm, so will only use the motor, bearing, platter and minimum controls. Obviously I would like to avoid having to buy an expensive turntable only to throw most of it away! Which Technics DDs would be my best bet for a top performing motor/bearing and platter at reasonable cost?
