If there is a signal on your LP at 24-kHz, it will be boosted by 21-dB due to RIAA equalization. Then when you send it through inverse RIAA equalization for playback, it will be attenuated by 21-dB. Consequently, you should have noticed a 21-dB difference between the two signals. If not, I doubt you are seeing a signal from the LP. It must be noise produced by your sound card or something.Best regards,
