Maybe, but these platforms get the job done, and they are easily placed where needed because of their lightweight construction. They utilize high-tech foams that are locked in with heat at different densities to drain resonances from above, and stop vibrations from below.I don't know if couger4u considers the price of $190 to be cheap, but you get what you pay for which is a whole lot of quiet. He cannot DIY, so this is one elegant choice that should be within an affordable range for anyone who really wants it. Besides, this solution avoids all the extra efforts of DIY try-and-see.
