LP12, Lingo and Ekos is the best sounding turntable I have ever heard for the style of presentation that I like .... power, slam and vice like grip on the music. The Aro sounded good but did not do bass like an EKOS (what does???)
I have chuckled from time to time reading "modern" scribes referring to the LP12 bass as lumpy or humpy etc. I am at a complete loss to understand how anyone could say this especially Arthur Salvatore who is very dismissive of the LP12.I sold my Linn setup 15 years ago but rue the day I sold it. In the last 6 years of listening to every TT I could find in places like Singapore, Hong Kong and London I have never been able to find anything that even gets close to a fully tricked LP12 at any price .... there was a superbly set-up Scheu heard in Singapore which really gave a buzz.
I have not yet heard the upper models of Audio Signature, Basis, Avid or VPI.
