To go get fresh vinyl. Or even a minor equip upgrade/tweak. Treat yourself. Yesterdee, was shopping for something not vinyl related. And came upon a seller with the mother lode. Nearly broke my heart to leave some of those puppies behind. But I liberated those who cried Elmo!, the loudest. Spinning one of them later in the afternoon, the Platters 'Reflections', made everything right with the world.P.S. I never clean records. Not because I don't find them improved. But because I find the process intrusive. I'm all about the mellow. And their ain't nothing wrong with taking a break. From the perceived drudgery of cleaning, maybe even unplugging your table, and listening to the FM for a week. Or getting to some other non-audio related projects. Move the furniture around, get rid of records you don't really like. Put a new or different piece of art in the room. Buy a nicer bottle of whatever, one time, instead of the usual standby ..... and well the world seems so much more vibrant after a date :-)
