I'm using a Garrard 401, not 301.The Garrard 401 is wired for 220v with 50Hz pulley....I'm now using a variac and set the voltage at 200v. I'm using the speed fine tune dial to set the correct speed. This is a temporary solution for now since I have this table running for the past two weeks only.
I might get the correct 60Hz pulley and set the TT voltage to 120v.
I heard that I can disconnect the eddy current brake thing and using a some kind of power supply to control the speed of the 401. Without the eddy current brake, the motor will turn smoother with less noise/vibration and with better performance. I still don't have any idea on how to do it. Do u have any idea ?
