so far-- that's most of the stuff i told him. i think he's more concerned about the buzz when he touches the arm-- apparently, nothing much while it's playing-- so that definitely seems like a chassis grounding issue to me.i'll let him know to try grounding on any fasteners on the metal subchassis- but i do still wonder if there's a 'thorens approved' grounding wire anyplace?
